Welcome Back to the Kitchen, Daredevil Season 2 Premiere Review

After the long wait, Netflix released the second season of their hit series, “Daredevil”. If you haven't heard of Daredevil nor watched his heroic feats in the first season of his show, it is highly recommended that you not read this review as there will be spoilers ahead.

After the mysterious “Devil of Hell’s Kitchen” puts away Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, in prison, he continues to listen, night after night, for someone in distress. This is displayed cleverly as the opening scene pans over a seemingly serene Hell’s Kitchen while a multitude of city noises and conversations are heard in the background, giving the viewer a taste of what Daredevil’s radar-sense is like.

Later, we see Irish mafia members assemble for dinner with talk of taking over the city, but after the mafia leader’s exhilarating speech, the mobsters were shot down by your friendly neighborhood Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal of “The Walking Dead” fame.

The audience came to realize one mobster in particular made it out of the bloody situation, and what was the first place he went for help? Nelson and Murdock.

While the idea of finding help from the two lawyers was the smartest move, it seemed a bit strange how the mobster had even heard of them.

Nonetheless, Foggy and Matt agree to help this man get into protective custody, where we get to meet one of the could-be antagonists, Samantha Reyes. Reyes appeared on another Marvel Netflix TV show, Jessica Jones, and played the same role as a mingy district attorney who seems to not care for pro bono law firms.

Right off the bat, “Daredevil” doesn’t fail to leave its audience's’ jaws open with action packed plots and vigorous fight scenes. The reviewers at the Titan Template give this first episode of season two an 8.5/10 with much more expected excitement to come in the future episodes.
